Thrifting and ruffled tree skirts

I have to share my super inexpensive no sew ruffled tree skirt with ya'll!
If you have the patience to use a hot glue gun for a few hours then you too can have a cute tree skirt!
I started with about 2 yards of each color of fabric.  The first one I made is red and burlap......LOVE!  I used a piece of scrap fabric for backing on both of them.  I cut it in a circle the size I wanted.  You can make your skirt as big or little as you want.  After I cut the "split" I cut out a small circle where the skirt fits around the tree trunk.  I touch it up after I add the ruffles.  Then I cut my fabric into strips about 2-3 inches wide.  I dont measure.  I literally hot glue the fabric into ruffles onto the base.  Row by row!
Once I get to the top I cut any excess off of the base.
That is it.  and it only takes about 30 glue sticks!
Kidding!
It does take quite a few though but so worth it if you dont sew!

And we also went thrifting this weekend!
We found all the goodies below and the candy machine!
My awesome husband has already repainted the candy machine and built a cool stand for it!
I cant to fill it with gum balls!

I feel like I have so much to share so make sure you come back tomorrow!
Oh and I do apologize for the instagram pics but I have lost my cable for my camera so its kind of all I got right now! ;)
